Rutherford Institute Commends City Police Gun Changes

The Rutherford Institute is applauding a recent decision by the Charlottesville Police Department. In an open letter to Police Chief Tim Longo, President John Whitehead commends his recent decision to modify the agency guns from fully automatic to semi-automatic. Whitehead applauds Longo for "recognizing that the first step in minimizing violence in today’s tumultuous world must begin with a commitment to protecting human life." He also says the decision is not only a wise one, from a legal liability perspective, but it is also a humane one.
