Rights Group Sues TSA Over 'Naked' Scanners
A Charlottesville-based civil rights organization is suing the Transportation Security Administration to stop airport body scanners for invading privacy and threatening human health.
Having once secured a settlement from Richmond International over its handling of a semi-naked protest by one traveler, the Rutherford Institute has leapt back into the fight over full-body scanners, which tend to make every traveler naked. Here’s founder John Whitehead: “I’d like to start seeing people treated better in airports.” And he says we’re paying a lot of money for something that doesn’t work.
