A federal judge in Virginia says Fluvanna County's policy prohibiting people from using the image of the county seal in non-governmental matters is unconstitutional.

Judge Norman Moon of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia says the Fluvanna policy violates free speech rights including those of a blogger at the center of the case

The county had gone after the site when some there became frustrated with the blog's coverage of county issues.

The Charlottesville-based Rutherford Institute assisted in the blogger's defense.
