John W. Whitehead to Appear on 'After Hours with Cal Thomas,' Fox News Channel
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- John W. Whitehead, president of The Rutherford Institute, will appear as a guest on Fox News Channel's After Hours with Cal Thomas, which airs this Saturday, February 5, 2005, at 11 p.m., EST. Each week, nationally syndicated columnist Cal Thomas, host of the late-night Fox News Channel talk show, interviews some of the most influential people in entertainment, government and politics--from both sides of the aisle. Whitehead will talk about his recent three-part essay series on the state of the union (available online here), whether the Patriot Act violates human and civil rights, whether our nation is headed towards fascism, and what Americans can do to safeguard their constitutional freedoms. In addition to John Whitehead, other guests on the Feb. 5 episode of After Hours will include John Tesh, former co-host of the TV program Entertainment Tonight, and his wife Connie Sellecca, who will be talking about their time spent with the children of Sri Lanka--the smallest survivors of the tsunami, who are now living in refugee camps. Dr. James Dobson, the founder and president of Focus on the Family, will also appear on the show to speak about recent controversies over SpongeBob SquarePants and whether the animated character is part of a pro-homosexual agenda that promotes the theme of "tolerance and diversity," as some critics have suggested.
The Rutherford Institute is an international, nonprofit civil liberties organization committed to defending constitutional and human rights.
